‘Find something you’re passionate about and stay tremendously interested in it’ – Julia Child

I owe my passion for good food and the love of cooking to my Grandparents and my Great Aunt, they were amazing teachers and incredibly inspiring. I hope they know how much of an impact they’ve had on my life.

In 1997’ we started up a small organic veggie co-op packing 15 boxes for members of our family, friends and a few neighbours and of course for ourselves.

Within a couple of years we had found many wonderful growers right across the North Island from Kaitaia to Foxton & Hastings to our very own back-yard in Oratia. It was a great feeling being surrounded by such down to earth, tough & hard working people who were only too happy to share their wealth of knowledge with us...it really was a privilege.

As the years went by, we noticed it was getting more difficult & more expensive to buy certain organic items & with our boxes being a set price, we simply couldn't afford to put those items in.

In 2016 we shifted our business from being only organic to spray-free & organic where possible & we also made the decision to only buy from local growers within the Auckland region.

It is still a privilege for us today to be surrounded by our growers, knowing that they've got our back & that we have theirs.

Without them we wouldn't have as many happy customers as we do and I know that a big part of that is because of our commitment to only use growers who are passionate about their produce…and that makes a world of difference.

Thanks for reading & whatever your passion is...Share it :)
